/v/'s Recommended Games Wiki

Just started, but neato. Neat to have another series page here. Hope it goes well. I don't know much of the series myself (though I do think the battle system is pretty neat from what I've played), so I probably won't be much help here outside of auxillary stuff like spellcheckin' and what not. Don't know much about the River King, but HEY, good luck! Looking forward to it. Haipayazoo 03:41, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

  • Thanks guys; if you ever have any valuable input, feel free to share. I'm going to be playing/replaying as many of these games as I can, as well as cross referencing, to make sure I make a good page, so it might be quite a while before its finished. It's also a really big project in of itself, so I may take breaks every now and then.- MFGreth1 06:36, October 6, 2010 (UTC)

What do you recommend first?[]

That's a lot of LotRK games. Perhaps I will give one a try. What do you recommend for beginners of the franchise?

Also, you have my support on this page. It looks good. Haipayazoo 01:09, October 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • I would just go with Legend of the River King GBC, first. It's quick and easy to emulate, it's a very basic entry, and the difficulty on that particular entry isn't very high, making for a nice first game. If you're considering a more modern one, I would definitely recommend the DS one over the PS2 one. If you're proficient in Japanese, then I would give Kawa no Nush Tsuri 2 for Super Famicom a try, it's pretty impressive. That one I would put in the ranks of unknown classic JRPGs of the SNES era (with Emerald Dragon and Live-A-Live) for it's awesome visuals and gameplay, however, it doesn't have a fan translation, thus, doesn't quite get the recognition it deserves. Shame really. - MFGreth1 04:12, October 7, 2010 (UTC)
