Microsoft had led the industry of gaming with continual releases of the Personal Computer which was, for many years, the industry top choice of gaming platform. In 2001, Microsoft formally entered the console gaming market with the release of the Xbox, and continued their ambition with the release of Xbox360 four years later. Fratboys everywhere rejoiced. Microsoft has since released the Xbox One, which has more TV connectivity and a Kinect-usage focus, to mixed reception.
